The concept developed by GAURUS TECHNOLOGY is inspired by furnaces produced thirty years ago in the Landes region of France by the Navarre company. Unique in its design, this continuously operating pyrolysis furnace is constantly being improved by Gaurus Technology in order to maintain the highest technical level.
Both respectful of health and the environment, this unique technology makes it possible to sustainably produce wood charcoal or biocarbon, as well as recycle carbonization by-products (gas, pyroligneous oils, and molecules). These substances which are disposed of in the environment by traditional methods are instead recovered and used.

French entrepreneur Thierry Dhuicq, who has developed a great amount of trade between Eastern and Western Europe since the 1980s, founded GAURUS TECHNOLOGY in 2013.
His goal is to develop plant-based carbon and by-product production by controlling all the stages internally, from carbonization to delivery:
